EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR EDIT PRODUCER ON AN ANTIQUES ROADSHOW SPECIAL
Antiques Roadshow, the well-loved flagship BBC series, is looking for an edit producer for a special programme. In August 2025 it will be 80 years since VJ or Victory over Japan Day, bringing an end to the war in the Far East, and with it the Second World War. To mark this extraordinary anniversary, Antiques Roadshow is exploring the events leading up to and surrounding VJ Day (or Victory over Japan Day).
This is a brilliant opportunity to work with an established team on one of the BBC’s premium brands. We would like to hear from experienced edit producers with a track record of history programming and/or specialist factual credits. Experience of edit producing longform narrative documentaries is essential. Experience of producing historical content for TV, ideally on the subject of the Second World War, would be very useful. Excellent writing and fact-checking skills are vital, for example experience of researching and writing scripts for factual TV productions.
The role would start approximately w/c 17th March 2025 and finish w/c 7th April 2025. Flexibility a week either side would be useful. This role is offered as a freelance opportunity.
BBC Studios is committed to having a diverse range of skills, experience and talent working on our programmes, and as such we’re keen for applicants from underrepresented groups to apply, particularly those who are neurodivergent, have a disability, are from an ethnic minorities background and lower socio-economic groups to ensure we are representative of all.
