Your role
Rethink Mental Illness are hiring a Support Worker to join our inspiring and friendly team at Shipley Lodge, Heanor - Derbyshire.

Our Shipley Lodge service is a sixteen bed, single-level facility for both male and female clients, offering a clean and comfortable environment that supports recovery and independence.
How you will make a difference as a Mental Health Support Worker:
As a Support Worker, you'll help individuals with mental illness regain confidence and participate in social and workplace activities. You’ll work closely with service users to achieve personal goals and access support for their recovery journey.
What Will My Role Involve
* Support Worker duties may involve personal care tasks such as assisting with eating, toileting, bathing, dressing, and hygiene, as outlined in care plans.
* I provide key worker support to service users, including one-on-one assistance and coordination with mental health agencies.
* I prioritise the individual’s needs, using communication, motivation, and coaching to help them achieve their goals.
* I build respectful, honest relationships with service users, maintaining professional boundaries and following the Rethink Mental Illness Code of Conduct.
Essential Skills And Experience
* I have transferable life/work experience to apply to this role.
* I am a good listener, empathetic, understanding, kind, patient and willing to learn.
* I can demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of the Charity.
* I have experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity.
* I have experience of providing personal care including support with eating or drinking/toileting, washing/bathing/dressing/oral care and the care of skin and hair.
