An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic midwife, who has experience of working on labour ward, to join our friendly team as a band 7 co-ordinator on Delivery Suite to Cover a 12 month fixed term contract/Secondment

The Delivery Suite Coordinator holds the key responsibility and accountability for the ongoing daily management of the clinical area. They should possess excellent communication skills with the ability to manage change, difficult situations and work in a challenging environment to ensure quality standards are achieved.
The post-holder will maintain a visible and approachable presence within the clinical area of responsibility for staff, students and service users, including their families.
You will have the opportunity to provide support, develop leadership and management skills, contributing to the wider multidisciplinary team.
While coordinating the delivery suite shift you will be expected to take overall responsibility for the maternity unit out of hours and will have experience as bleep holder and Risk and Governance.
We are supportive of flexible working arrangements, and part-time options are also available.

Responsibilities include maintaining a visible and approachable presence within the clinical area, providing support, leadership, and management to the multidisciplinary team, and assuming overall responsibility for the maternity unit during out-of-hours shifts.
Collaborating closely with the Delivery Suite Matron and Midwifery Management team, the postholder will lead change in clinical practice. This includes delivering high-quality twenty-four-hour midwifery care within the available resources while steering the incorporation of clinical governance principles within the maternity unit.
