PTS Senior Site Engineer/Sub Agent (Rail Enviroment) Location: Long Ashton, Bristol Contract Length: 3months Working Hours: Start Time - 7:30am (9.5 hours per day) Key Responsibilities: Site Management: Assist the Site Manager in day-to-day running of the rail project site. Supervise and manage subcontractors and direct workforce to ensure work is carried out safely, on time, and to the required standards. Monitor progress and quality of work against the project timeline, addressing any issues that may affect delivery. Liaise with the client, stakeholders, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and resolution of project challenges. Health & Safety: Oversee safety and compliance with health and safety regulations. Ensure all team members adhere to PTS (Personal Track Safety) requirements and other relevant safety procedures. Regularly conduct site inspections to identify risks and implement corrective actions. Technical Support: Provide technical advice and support to site teams for all engineering aspects. Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and construction programs. Project Coordination: Monitor and control the budget, ensuring cost-effective measures are implemented. Ensure all materials, plant, and equipment are procured in a timely manner and are in good condition. Assist in the preparation of project reports, progress updates, and documentation. Essential Qualifications and Experience: PTS (Personal Track Safety): Valid PTS certification is required, including trackside safety knowledge. SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme): Must have a valid SSSTS or SMSTS qualification. Rail Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a rail environment, ideally in a Senior Site Engineer or Sub Agent role. Knowledge of Railway Operations: A strong understanding of railway infrastructure, signalling systems, and track construction techniques. Technical Competence: Proficient in the use of engineering software and tools, and a strong understanding of construction processes and techniques
