About the Role
As a Lead LabVIEW Developer, you will design, develop, and optimize advanced automation and test systems. You’ll play a key role in defining software architecture, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and working with hardware interfaces, communication protocols, and real-time systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design & develop scalable, high-performance LabVIEW applications
* Define software architecture and ensure modular, maintainable code
* Integrate LabVIEW with test & measurement equipment, sensors, actuators, and industrial control systems
* Work with communication protocols: CAN & CANopen, I2C, SPI, Ethernet/IP
* Utilize GitHub for version control and collaborative development
* Develop real-time and FPGA-based applications using LabVIEW Real-Time & LabVIEW FPGA
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams on automation, data acquisition, and control systems
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and technical standards
* Optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex hardware/software interactions
* Document designs, test procedures, and results for quality assurance
What We’re Looking For:
* Certified LabVIEW Developer, ideally Architect (CLA), or extensive experience in LabVIEW software architecture
* Strong experience in test & measurement automation, data acquisition, and control systems
* Proficiency in LabVIEW Real-Time & LabVIEW FPGA for embedded and industrial applications
* Hands-on experience with CAN & CANopen, I2C, SPI, Ethernet/IP
* Strong knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and real-time control
* Experience with GitHub, version control, and structured software development
* Familiarity with database management (SQL, Azure, AWS) is a plus
* C or Python experience for complementary development is an advantage
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in high-tech manufacturing environments
* Excellent documentation and communication skills
Location & Benefits
* Location: Insch - Hybrid
* Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Pay: £55,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
