Hospitality is a work of heart, Join us and become a Heartist ®. Job Description We are currently seeking a full time Reservations Manager to lead our fantastic reservations team. Reporting directly to our Commercial Director, this role will see you ensuring that the correct procedures are used in receiving, processing and confirming hotel reservations, working closely with our Director of Revenue in ensuring maximum yield. Particular responsibilities will include: · Lead and support the reservations team, providing guidance and resolving queries. · Respond promptly to reservation requests, ensuring accurate recording in the system. · Maintain the Opera Reservations system, updating rates, availability, and mail messages. · Review no-shows and provide follow-up details to the Assistant Manager. · Ensure all reservations are up to date in the Property Management System (PMS). · Verify regular client reservations for accuracy and quick check-ins. · Monitor occupancy, apply stop-sell in PMS when needed, and inform relevant departments. · Manage group reservations, ensuring accuracy in rooming lists and special requests. · Reconfirm arrivals and pass necessary information to the Front Desk. · Maintain and update guest history, sharing insights with management. · Anticipate busy periods, manage allotments, and ensure proper utilization. · Apply yield management practices and participate in monthly strategy meetings. · Verify rate manuals and ensure accuracy of rates in the system. · Collaborate with sales to forward leads and provide feedback on corporate markets. · Ensure open communication between Front Office and Reservations teams. · Complete daily tasks such as filing, correspondence, and reporting. · Adhere to Emergency Communication protocols for media inquiries. · Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field. · 3-5 years of experience in reservations or front office roles within the hotel industry. · Solid understanding of revenue management principles and practices. · Excellent communication and customer service skills, adept at resolving guest inquiries and issues. · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. · Strong leadership and team management experience, including staff training and mentoring. · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. · Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
