Description:
The It Takes a Village Community Garden is a vibrant initiative focused on creating a sustainable green space that supports our Caribbean seniors and broader community. With roots in the heritage of 20+ years of Caribbean allotments, this garden aims to build a thriving space that nurtures cultural ties, supports disadvantaged groups, and fosters community spirit. The Community Garden is based in Festival Park.
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help design, build, and manage this growing community garden. From cultivating plots to supporting seniors, engaging with youth, and hosting visitors, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a meaningful community-driven project.
