About the Role: You will be working with pupils who have a range of SEN, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and other complex learning needs. These children and young people require patient, skilled support to help them access learning, develop life skills, and build confidence in a structured and nurturing environment. What You’ll Be Doing: Supporting pupils with diverse SEN needs, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance required to achieve their potential. Implementing Team Teach strategies to help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a safe and supportive manner. Assisting with personal care, communication strategies, and sensory support where necessary, depending on pupil needs. Adapting learning materials and working closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide individualised support. Encouraging independence, emotional resilience, and positive social interactions. What We’re Looking For: Experience supporting children or young people with a range of SEN, including SEMH, ASD, PMLD, or complex learning needs. A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach. A current Team Teach qualification (Desirable). While transport is beneficial, it is not essential.
