Job summary Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated State-Registered Specialist Biomedical Scientists to join our friendly team in Point of Care as part of the Pathology Department at the CDC-Halifax. Previous laboratory experience, laboratory quality/quality management system and basic IT skills are required. Point of Care Testing (POCT) is laboratory testing performed outside the centrallaboratory and subject to the same level of professional, public and judicial scrutiny asanalyses carried out in the laboratory. About us Following a period of training and competency assessments the successful candidate will be expected to participate in POCT governance in the CDC at Broad Street and Huddersfield, as well as cross site on all Trust sites such as CRH and HRI. To act as primary point of contact for Point of Care when working alone. Liaise with other members of staff within the department on a routine basis to ensure safe and efficient daily operation. To be able to plan your own work and that of the department and prioritise urgent issues. To co-ordinate the work in conjunction with other specialist departments.
