We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, caring and energetic Childcare Assistant, to play an integral part in creating a fun and exciting environment for our junior guests as part of our Little Glen team. The on target earning potential for this role is £13.76 / per hour - comprising a base hourly rate of £11.56, plus a qualified estimate of £2.20 per hour in gratuities and service charge. You’ll be working 16 hours per week over 2 days, you’ll be flexible to work both week days and weekends. Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role: Looking after our junior guests within the hotel will be your number one priority; their safety and welfare is paramount, whilst they’re having fun. You’ll be responsible for a set number of children in your care, in line with Care Inspectorate ratios Providing a warm and friendly welcome to all of our guests, you’ll put parents/guardians at ease and ensure they feel comfortable leaving their children in our care Assisting the Little Glen Manager you’ll plan daily, weekly, and monthly themed activities within Little Glen Assisting the Children’s Activity and Learning Manager you’ll get the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Holiday Programmes You’ll be able to show your creative talents by running arts & craft sessions both planned and unplanned; so be prepared to be spontaneous Regular safety checks are required on our toys and equipment within Little Glen and also The Den, you’ll be vigilant at all times, proactively removing and replacing anything that’s not of the required standard You’ll make sure you’re current and compliant with all the latest, relevant legislation and guidelines, attending courses, at times out with your normal working hours Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way The kind of person we're looking for : You’ll must either have achieved or working towards; an HNC in Childhood Practice or SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) You’re currently established in, or with previous experience, in a similar role and you’re passionate about working with children both in indoor and outdoor settings Creative, imaginative and innovative; you bring all of this to deliver the highest standard of care we can as a team You have a flexible approach, able to adapt and succeed in a changing environment; thinking on your feet with the ability to problem solve to meet the needs of the children in your care are second nature to you Working with children can be exhausting, however your energy, positivity and patience are some of your greatest skills Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way What’s in it for you: Time to let your hair down 30 days holiday (including bank holidays) that increases with service Seasonal parties and local social events 50% discount on Food & Beverage, Country Pursuits, Spa and Hair Salon (Mon-Thurs) and the Golf Driving Range Golf Membership (with access to all 3 championship courses) for £50.00 per annum Treats in your pocket Flexi points into yourPerkbox wallet to spend as you choose.
