About The Service:
Primrose Neurological Centre, Morecambe is a specialist neurological care service providing residential support for adults following a brain injury or with a neurological condition. Our progression model of care offers transitional/long-term residential care living in a well-equipped residential setting.
Supporting people through post-acute rehabilitation, our goal is to promote and maintain optimum independence and choice through a personalized support plan. The personalized support plan or GAS (goal attainment scaling) is both written and reviewed in consultation with the individual to help maintain their optimum goals through the management of their specific needs.
With a focus on cognitive impairment, we have individual support guidelines to cover functions such as attention, memory, information processing, and executive skills. We also work with SASNOS, a tool used to establish areas requiring more support such as relationships, social skills, and behaviour.
The Registered Manager Position:
We are looking for a registered manager to lead our team. With support from your Regional Operations Manager and Director as you settle into the National Care Group team, you will have a close network of professionals to support you on your journey and help guide you into your role. We are looking for someone who is relentless in their pursuit of achieving even greater outcomes for the people we support.
About the role:
* As the leader of your services, your primary role will be to ensure the health and wellbeing of our individuals and colleagues, striving to ensure everyone has an opportunity to unlock their potential.
* Quality and governance will be essential, and you will be provided with the tools to enable you to deliver outstanding quality across your services, in line with the legal, statutory, and regulatory obligations. It is important you are process-driven and have a passion for continuous improvement.
* You will actively coach and mentor colleagues on what good looks like, setting the right example and leading from the front.
* A strong oversight of your services is essential, ensuring operations are balanced with colleagues taking annual leave, regular team meetings, and ensuring training compliance is maintained.
* Developing strong relationships with your families, external professionals, and regulators is a key part of the role, together with understanding the importance of collaborative working.
* As the registered manager, you will play a pivotal role in transitioning new people into our services from assessment through to achieving their full potential.
* Empower your teams to deliver outstanding support through high-quality electronic care plans and associated written documentation.
* Reporting is an essential part of any manager's role; full training will be given to ensure you are enabled to deliver the right information at the right time, to support in maximizing quality and compliance.
* The role requires you to be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The Ideal Registered Manager:
You will have:
* Experience of supporting adults with Neurological Conditions, Learning Disabilities, and/or complex needs.
* Previous CQC registration.
* Experience in multisite management.
* Experience in MAPA (CPI) and PBS (Positive Behaviour Support).
* Proven time management and organizational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
* A high level of personal integrity towards providing a high standard of service.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders.
* A good understanding of commercial and financial principles and practices.
* Level 5 – Leadership in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
