About us
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Our lifeboat crews and lifeguards need a dedicated, professional and talented team behind them to support them to save lives at sea. And this is where you come in.
About the role
We are looking for a Central Processing Team Assistant to join our friendly team. Our life-saving service relies on funds generated by our supporters, andyou’ll have an equally important part to play, as you process this income and handle all of the necessary administration including maintaining the supporter database, in order to secure long term, sustainable support for the RNLI's lifesaving work.
Additionally, within this important role you will be called upon to open post received, prepare in accordance with standard procedures and to ensure that the appropriate database is updated accurately. Full training on the RNLI internal systems will be provided as appropriate.
About you
To be considered as our Central Processing Team Assistant you will need:
* Office experience is essential
* Good understanding of Microsoft applications
* GCSE English and Maths, Grade C or above (or equivalent)
* A high level of attention to detail
* Ability to work at a fast pace to meet strict deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
Due to timing of mailings, in particular appeals and the quarterly lottery, there are various key periods during the year when there is a high volume of work. Therefore, you will be expected to be able to ‘step-up a gear’ at short notice, supporting colleagues to maintain our Service Level Agreement as agreed with other departments.
You’ll bring to the position a proactive approach, the ability to suggest improvements to systems and processes, have good attention to detail, excellent communication and organisational skills, general office experience and the ability to use your own initiative whilst working as part of a successful team. In return you’ll join a team that takes great pride in ‘getting it right first time’ knowing that through their efforts, they support the organisation that saves lives at sea.
