About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced FM Manager to join our client's talented team. Reporting to the Head of Facilities Services, you will successfully manage the delivery of property/facilities management services within a designated area. You will be responsible for FM services including Health and Safety, environment, annual budgets, budget reconciliation, compliance and general PPM/RW/lifecycle along with managing a team of Site Supervisors.
Day-to-day duties will include but not limited to:
* Ensuring agreements and contracts are delivered through Service delivery plans
* Manage all FM services including Health and Safety, Environment, Annual Budgets, Budget Reconciliation, Compliance and General PPM / Reactive Works / Lifecycle
* Lead, manage and develop a team of Facilities Support Officers/Supervisors delivering Hard FM services within designated PFI properties
* Manage a team of external sub-contractors delivering both planned and reactive services to designated PFI properties
* Ensure contract performance through monitoring, and presentation of Monthly reports
* Liaise with building occupiers exercising local initiatives in meeting needs and resolving problems with agreed policies and procedures
* Take an active role in any new schemes or refurbishments
* Manage complaints, security breaches and health and safety issues in full
* Actively participate in local In-House Management/Multi-Disciplinary meetings, working parties and ad hoc committees as required, e.g. Security Forum to aid business improvement
* Responsible for security of properties including alarm systems and liaising with the client about building security issues/concerns
* Nominated Officer responsible for health and safety and fire precaution including on-site management and ensuring these requirements are carried out in accordance with client policies
* Conduct formal Health & Safety (Inc COSHH), Compliance and Contractors inspections ensuring all follow up actions are completed
* Monitor cleaning standards and liaising with Infection Control Lead regarding any issues raised
* Complete risk assessments and Method Statements as required
* Negotiate with external suppliers to ensure competitive prices for items of equipment and supplies
* Ensure meter readings are recorded and monitor the building management system to ensure settings are optimised and issues identified promptly
Skills, experience, knowledge and qualifications required:
* Strong understanding of PFI or LIFT service contracts including managing the performance of suppliers and contractors
* BIFM Intermediate qualification preferred
* IOSH Management Safety Certificate preferred
* Legionella Management preferred
* Extensive knowledge of facilities management in a PFI/LIFT environment delivering hard and soft services
* Excellent communication skills both oral and written skills
* Enhanced DBS Check clearance is required
Salary and Benefits Package
* £47,000 per annum
