Job Description
The Roadworks Control team is responsible for managing and co-ordinating all road works and road occupations within Glasgow in accordance with current legislation and the Scottish Road Works Register (SRWR).
The Technician is responsible for the co-ordination of all road and infrastructure works carried out on the public road by Glasgow City Council, external contractors and statutory undertakers.
You will possess and demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, be able to plan, organise and prioritise work and be able to meet deadlines.
Previous experience of the Scottish Road Works Register, dealing with the public and statutory agencies, IT skills and the ability to work alone or as part of a team is essential.
A Degree/HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent is essential.
