A Finance Assistant based in York, is required as an additional member to a growing team and business. This Finance position will provide all round finance support to the department, helping manage and oversee a key account to the business, whilst also helping to ensure a wider support to the finance team where required. Reporting to the Finance Manager and Finance Director, the role will provide management accounting support as offering support to the finance team with treasury, forecasting & system maintenance.
Role Overview
* Overseeing all finance requirements for a key account of the business
* Raising invoices to the client as required for all training bookings
* Support and help ensure Month-end account preparation
* Supporting the other requirements within the finance team
* Journal preparation and posting
* Support the general ledger balances and reconciliations
* Reporting and analysis to be undertaken when required
* Assisting team with general processing enquiries
* Any additional duties as required
Experience & Skills Required
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
* Previous experience working within a finance team with ideally general all round finance experience.
* Excellent IT skills including all Microsoft Office programs.
* Strong administrative skills, with the ability to multi-task in a busy environment, meet deadlines and maintain a high attention to detail.
