Job overview
This role will provide strategic leadership in relation to all aspects of Simulation and Clinical Skills Education. The post holder will be required to develop a strategy for simulation (as part of an overarching Education Strategy) which is clinically relevant, innovative, sustainable and responsive to change.
The postholder will focus upon leading and co-ordinating inter-professional education events hosted in both the dedicated simulation spaces and in-situ within clinical departments.
The post holder will contribute to:
* The successful performance of the Trust and supporting in the delivery of the Trust’s objectives.
* Comply with corporate governance structure in keeping with the principles and standards set out by the trust.
* Embed our values and behaviours (CARE) to improve the way we work with each other to improve patient care and satisfaction.
Main duties of the job
This role involves providing strategic leadership for Simulation and Clinical Skills Education. The post holder will develop a clinically relevant, innovative, sustainable, and adaptable simulation strategy as part of a broader Education Strategy. They will lead and coordinate inter-professional education events in dedicated simulation spaces and within clinical departments. Additionally, the post holder will contribute to the Trust's successful performance and support the delivery of its objectives. They must comply with the corporate governance structure, adhering to the Trust's principles and standards. Furthermore, they will embed the Trust's values and behaviors (CARE) to enhance teamwork and improve patient care and satisfaction.

Person specification
Education, Qualifications & Training
* Registered Healthcare Professional with experience working in a healthcare setting.
* Holds a recognised teaching qualification or working towards this.
* Evidence of a higher degree or further personal development relating to the educational process at master level or equivalent experience.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
Experience
* Evidence and experience of using simulation as an educational methodology to train, develop and assess skills and behaviours of clinical staff groups.
* Track record as an educator within clinical practice.
* Evidence of ability to work within and lead a team of individuals to achieve a shared goal.
* Quality focussed with high standards for education, learning and development.
* Evidence of engagement with quality improvement in the clinical context e.g. safety initiatives.
* Evidence of research relating to educational intervention.
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
* Able to communicate service-based information to senior managers and clinical staff using negotiating, persuasive and reassurance skills.
* Ability to interpret and compare a range of options in problem solving.
* Ability to prioritise to manage own workload and to work under pressure.
