Account Manager

About the role
As an Account Manager, you will oversee client accounts, ensuring processes, budgets, and timelines are met while driving new business opportunities and managing multiple projects. You will also lead a team, build strong client relationships, and implement strategic plans to maximize growth and profitability for both eXPD8 and its clients.
Key Accountabilities:
Client & Project Management
* Oversee client accounts, ensuring smooth project execution and budget compliance.
* Coordinate project plans, forecast planning, delegate tasks, and improve long-term compliance with Field Management.
* Proactively analyse client data, resolve compliance issues, and provide regular performance reporting.
Business Growth & Strategy
* Identify opportunities for account growth while mitigating risks and ensuring financial targets are met.
* Develop structured plans for client activities, ensuring smooth execution and contingency measures.
* Expand client relationships by seeking new business opportunities and enhancing service delivery.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
* Respond to client queries promptly, front strategic meetings, and ensure contracts are up-to-date.
* Represent eXPD8 professionally, contributing to social media and PR efforts.
Team Leadership & Development
* Recruit, train, and develop your team, providing regular feedback and performance reviews.
* Act as a mentor, ensuring your team is motivated and aligned with eXPD8's processes and goals.
How will you measure Success?
* Maintain robust client relationships with positive feedback and high SLA/KPI compliance.
* Ensure financial process accuracy, including POs, cost planning, and invoicing.
* Utilize eXPD8 systems effectively (MERVE, The Portal, Power Bi, and Reporting Suite).
* Accurately track and forecast activities, manage budgets, and implement growth plans.

Essential
Client & Relationship Management
* Strong client focus with excellent people skills, able to build and maintain relationships.
* Experience managing a small team, providing feedback, and developing others.
Organisational & Problem-Solving Skills
* Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage workloads under pressure.
* Strong problem-solving mindset, using initiative to find solutions and ensure delivery.
Technical & Analytical Skills
* IT proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* High numeracy skills for budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
Communication & Leadership
* Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
* A strong leader who can deliver difficult messages with tact and professionalism.
Desired
Industry Experience
* 1-3 years of account management or relevant experience in FMCG, retail, or field marketing.
* Understanding of the retail sector and experience managing profitable client accounts.
Stakeholder & Customer Relations
* Skilled at liaising with multiple stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication.
* Strong empathy, diplomacy, and ability to exceed customer expectations.
