Are you a self-driven and enthusiastic sales professional with a passion for building relationships and driving growth? Wenzel’s the Bakers, a trusted name in quality bread, cakes, and catering, is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Business Development Executive (BDE). This role is pivotal in expanding our B2B wholesale operations and growing our online party platter and corporate catering services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute strategies to generate new B2B wholesale sales, focusing on creating long-term partnerships.
* Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to secure repeat business and identify upselling opportunities.
* Promote and expand our online party platter and corporate catering services to businesses, event organizers, and other key customers.
* Conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth and tailor sales approaches to meet client needs.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and materials that support sales efforts.
* Meet and exceed sales targets, providing regular reports on performance and market insights.
* Report regularly to the Procurement Director on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
* Represent Wenzel’s the Bakers with professionalism and enthusiasm at networking events, trade shows, and client meetings.
* Generate leads through email, phone, and in-person canvassing.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven track record in sales, ideally within the food industry or a related sector.
* Strong B2B sales and account management experience an advantage but not essential.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills are a must.
* Ability to work independently and proactively to achieve targets.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a knack for identifying and capitalizing on opportunities.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Familiarity with online sales platforms and digital marketing is a plus.
* Competent in using Excel and Google Sheets to produce weekly sales reports.
* A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
* Flexible approach to working hours and days, with an approximate 42-hour week across 5 days, which may occasionally include weekends.
