Join Our Team as a Lead Structures Installer at Route One!
At Route One, we’re specialists in bridge deck maintenance and protection, offering a complete end-to-end solution—from supplying and installing bridge expansion joints and waterproofing membranes to concrete repairs and structural protection systems.
We’re on the lookout for an experienced and motivated Lead Structures Installer to lead our on-site teams and help deliver excellence on every project.
Note that this role will require working away and night work.
What You’ll Do:
As a Foreman, you’ll be a key player in our operations, ensuring smooth delivery of projects and top-notch performance from your team. Reporting directly to the Supervisor, you’ll take charge of allocated schemes and operatives. This role offers variety and challenge, requiring regular night shifts and working away from home.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
1. Leading and managing on-site teams, including workforce, plant, materials, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
2. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards in line with company and client policies.
3. Overseeing the installation of waterproofing and joint products, ensuring strict adherence to installation guidelines.
4. Logging and reporting any deviations from product installation standards.
5. Completing real-time electronic site files to ensure compliance with company policies and integrated management systems (IMS).
6. Managing on-site communications with customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
7. Supporting operations, training, and competency development within the team.
8. Assisting with contract planning, phasing, and programming.
9. Sending detailed after-shift reports to keep the team on track.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Proven experience in management and supervision.
2. Expertise in waterproofing/joint installation and familiarity with GCP products.
3. A valid CSCS card and driving license.
4. Strong communication and leadership abilities.
5. The ability to prioritize tasks and manage teams effectively.
6. SSSTS certification (desirable but not essential).
