Job Title: Kidney Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)

Managerially accountable to: Senior Sister
Professionally accountable to: Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist / Matron
Key Relationships: All members of the Directorate Management Team, Administration and clerical staff, Medical, nursing and midwifery staff and other staff within the Directorate/Trust as appropriate, External contacts, relevant to the nature of the work of the Directorate/Trust, including patients and visitors as appropriate.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Band 6 to join the Chronic Kidney Disease multidisciplinary team on a 12 month secondment to cover maternity leave.
Experience of teaching junior colleagues and patients on an individual and group setting would be very advantageous, as we contribute to an in-house education programme and also deliver patient group education sessions.
The post holder will act as the key worker and liaise with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible specialist care for their patients.
You will be highly motivated, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have a commitment to professional development; you will need excellent clinical, communication and IT skills.
You will need: Current NMC registration, evidence of study at degree level (or working towards) in Health/Nursing Related Studies. Formal leadership and an ENB 998 or equivalent is essential, a current driving license.
Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience in Renal nursing.

Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 a year per annum pro rata
