JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Night Accommodation and Support Worker who has experience working with young people aged 16–25, with empathy, patience, and dedication to provide exceptional support.
As the Night Accommodation and Support Worker, you will work as part of a team to provide a safe and homely environment for young people in the evenings and at night.
Your responsibilities include arranging positive activities that foster relationships and engagement, such as cooking, board games, film nights, and quizzes.
DUTIES
Your duties as a Night Accommodation and Support Worker will include:
* Supporting young people outside of main working hours within housing projects and the community as needed
* Working with a team to ensure a safe, homely environment during night shifts
* Organising activities to build relationships and engage residents
* Delivering targeted support as directed by the Team Leader, including support with tenancy programs
* Working trauma-informed and providing timely interventions and signposting
* Ensuring young people are aware of and adhere to their placement conditions and house rules
* Following policies and procedures, including safeguarding, to ensure safety and minimize harm
* Maintaining accurate records, including handovers, case notes, incident, and safeguarding reports
* Ensuring living environments are well maintained and reporting maintenance issues
* Maintaining confidentiality and security of client records
* Working on a rota that includes evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
* Completing induction and mandatory training
* Managing housing duties, including administration, repairs, safety, and creating a welcoming environment
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
* Proficiency with IT systems like Outlook and Microsoft Office
* Experience working with young people with complex needs
* Flexibility
* Full Driver's License and access to a vehicle
