With clients spanning FMCG, Tech, and beyond, this agency is seeking a Research Director to lead strategic brand tracking programmes, grow client relationships, and mentor high-performing teams.
THE ROLE:
As Research Director, you’ll take ownership of key brand and comms tracking accounts, guiding clients from initial brief through to impactful insight delivery. You’ll be responsible for strategic programme design, stakeholder engagement, commercial development, and overall project delivery—ensuring actionable, credible solutions that influence decision-making at the highest levels.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and growing key client accounts, building trusted partnerships across senior stakeholder groups
* Designing and overseeing large-scale brand tracking programmes across equity, positioning, and comms
* Translating complex data into compelling narratives that drive brand strategy
* Managing commercial aspects of projects, including budgeting, resourcing, and growth planning
* Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of researchers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
* Contributing to thought leadership and innovation within the wider team and client community
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
You will need to have:
* Extensive experience in quantitative brand research, ideally within an agency environment
* Strong understanding of brand equity, positioning, and tracking methodologies
* Proven track record of senior client engagement, with the ability to influence at board level
* Full-service experience from design through to debrief, with strong commercial and budget ownership
* A strategic mindset, with a flair for translating data into insight-led stories that inspire action
* Experience managing and developing teams, with a focus on mentoring and leadership
* A proactive, solutions-focused attitude and the ability to drive innovation in client delivery
