Main duties of the job
As a member of the Household Team you will work under the supervision ofthe Household Supervisor, working as part of a multi-functional team, whilstcontributing towards the excellent standards of hygiene and cleanlinessthroughout the Children's, Adult's and Non-Clinical Departments of the Hospice.
Previous cleaning, household and housekeeping experience is essentialwith full awareness and training in COSHH and infection control. In addition,basic knowledge of a palliative care or care setting environment, though notessential, would be an advantage in this role.
Flexibility is key to this support services role with working hoursbased upon an internal rota which includes mornings, days, evenings, weekendand bank holiday working.

Job responsibilities
8. To work as directed by the Household Supervisor
9. Specific duties will be detailed in the cleaning programme, which covers all areas within the Hospice with the exception of the main kitchen
10. To achieve the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times
11. To observe all Health & Safety laws and regulations and follows all Hospice policies and procedures
12. To maintain professional boundaries at all times especially when working in patient areas
13. As a member of the Household Team, support colleagues through sharing and assisting in tasks where appropriate
14. To work on a rota basis (including weekends) and be prepared to do additional shifts to cover absences
15. Any other associated duties that may be required from time to time
