To support their growing team, we are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Income Verification Specialist to ensure customer income data aligns seamlessly with mortgage and loan applications.
As an experienced Income Verification Specialist your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy and integrity of customer income data against loan applications. You will play a pivotal role in validating and cross-checking information, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal standards.
Data Validation and Quality Assurance:
* Review and verify customers' income data to ensure alignment with mortgage, secured loan, and bridging loan applications.
* Cross-check supporting documents such as payslips, tax returns, and bank statements for accuracy and completeness.
* Identify discrepancies or missing information and liaise with the appropriate team to resolve issues.
Compliance and Standards:
* Ensure all data handling complies with FCA regulations, GDPR, and company policies.
* Stay updated on regulatory changes and best practices in the financial industry.
Reporting and Communication:
* Prepare detailed reports highlighting errors, trends, and areas for improvement.
* Provide feedback to the underwriting and sales teams to enhance data accuracy and application quality.
Process Improvement:
* Collaborate with team members to refine quality control processes and implement new measures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
* Proactively suggest and lead initiatives to reduce errors and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Essential:
* Previous experience in quality control, compliance, or data analysis within the financial services industry, preferably in mortgages or loans.
* Strong understanding of income verification and financial documentation.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with FCA regulations and mortgage/loan underwriting processes.
* Experience working with CRM or loan processing systems.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
