About the role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conducting Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessments (DQRAs).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading and delivering contaminated land projects including both site investigation and remediation for a range of clients.
2. Providing technical assessment and support in contaminated land to ensure high quality delivery of projects that may be complex and large-scale.
3. Undertaking and supporting the design, implementation and verification of environmental remediation works.
4. Managing communication and liaison with clients and a wide range of project stakeholders, from clients to regulators, to facilitate project delivery and maintain a positive company reputation.
5. Participating in business development activities and managing key clients.
6. Writing high standard reports which are technically accurate and commercially focused.
7. Assisting with training and development of junior staff to enable them to achieve their potential and deliver effective business results.
Qualifications:
1. Be educated to degree level (or higher) in a science-related subject.
2. Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in contaminated land consulting with a focus on DQRAs and a track record of successful project delivery.
3. Be proficient with relevant software tools for environmental risk assessment and modelling.
4. Have strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate diverse project teams.
5. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Membership of a relevant professional body and evidence of ongoing CPD maintenance.
7. Geotechnical experience would be advantageous but not essential.
