About Us
We are a Multi Academy Trust comprising of six secondary schools and one primary school with over 750 employees and over 5,500 students, based in Dudley, West Midlands.
Kinver High School is seeking to appoint an inspirational and ambitious Teacher of Science to join our ‘warm and welcoming school’ where ‘pupils behave well in lessons’ and ‘are polite and courteous’ (Ofsted Dec 21).
The ideal candidate will share our student-centered values and be an engaging and proactive teacher with a passion for lifelong learning. You must firmly believe and be driven to ensure that every student regardless of starting point, can achieve success, enjoy school, and be engaged with wider school life, to become the best that they can be.
The candidate should be an outstanding classroom practitioner with either the ability and experience to teach through to A-Level, or the desire to one day do so. Kinver High School achieves above national outcomes at KS4 and has an ALPs score of a 2. The successful candidate will build on current developments within the school, Trust and nationally, to continue to improve outcomes and raise aspirations for all students.
Science is a popular and successful subject in which students achieve well. At KS4 students follow either the Trilogy (Combined) or Triple Science pathway and at KS5 we currently offer Biology, Physics and Chemistry A-Level alongside Forensics. There are 6 members of the department, and no particular science subject specialism is sought. As a school we achieve above national outcomes at KS4 (P8+0.48) and currently have an ALPs score of a 2.
We are a highly successful and increasingly popular oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive school of 670 students, situated in the picturesque village location of Kinver on the western fringe of the West Midlands. The school has undergone rapid growth in recent years due to its popularity, moving from a 4-form entry in Year 7 to 6-form entry.
We are sure that once you visit us and meet our students, you’ll find that we are the school for you and your career journey, our CPD through school and in partnership with Invictus is exemplary.
