Overview of Role
The ideal candidate will be outgoing, having the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment. They must be capable of verbally communicating information to customers and sending accurate and informative electronic communication. Internally, teamwork is of the highest priority, and while some knowledge of the corrugated industry would be beneficial, full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
1. Order entry – inputting new orders onto the management system.
2. Discussing with customers to provide an overview of their requirements, specifically regarding delivery dates in the event of:
1. Delayed raw material supply,
2. Production or machine breakdowns,
3. Potential transport issues – booking in, vehicle availability, etc.
3. Liaising with external suppliers to outsource and request prices for additional elements as well as ordering them.
4. Discussing with internal departments to organise samples and potential artwork requests.
5. Daily liaison with the production and scheduling department to understand current lead times that may affect client OTIF, and communicating any implications to clients.
6. Taking phone calls and answering customer queries of all types, requiring discussion with other departments to find answers and a degree of autonomy to ensure customer satisfaction.
7. Customer stock management – checking levels of held stock, re-ordering where needed, and advising customers by supplying stock reports.
8. Additional responsibilities as needed.
9. General administration of paperwork.
10. Other duties as reasonably required by the company.
Training
Full training will be provided where needed.
Flexibility
A degree of flexibility is needed to deliver services effectively, and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above.
