Accounts Assistant
Temporary assignment with a view to going permanent for the right candidate

Elevation Recruitment group are excited to be partnering with a large, public sector organisation in Sheffield City Centre who are looking for a temporary Accounts Assistant to join their small, but well established finance team with a possibility of going permanent for the right person. The role would be ideal for someone who has started their AAT studies and is looking for the next step in their career.
Responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant
1. Preparation of bank reconciliations
2. Simple Accruals and Prepayments
3. Effectively carry out reconciliation of supplier statements and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate payments.
4. Ensure the effective and timely processing of purchase and sales invoices.
5. Process credit card transactions and expense claim forms in line with company processes and requirements.
6. Process payment runs in a timely and accurate manner
7. Setting up new supplier accounts including carrying out relevant checks and supporting employees across the organisation with the process.
The preparation of budget templates and assisting in general budget enquiries.
8. Assisting in administering payroll including liaising with HR and covering for the Finance Manager in appropriate payroll related tasks.
9. Provide general administrative support to the finance department including overseeing the archiving of documents.
