Antisocial Behaviour and Enforcement Manager - The Role: We have a great opportunity for an Anti-Social Behaviour and Enforcement Manager to join our team for a fixed term period of 2 years. Leading our response to Anti-Social behaviour corporately, you will develop and deliver policy and co-ordinate case management and early intervention across services and support the development and implementation of our corporate Enforcement Strategy. You will lead the Street Scene Enforcement Team to protect our communities and the environment through environmental monitoring, surveillance, early intervention and enforcement in environmental crime and ASB and support the Community Services Manager to deliver a programme of prevention activities in relation to Anti-Social Behaviour and wider community safety. Antisocial Behaviour and Enforcement Manager - Key Responsibilities: - To lead the development of Anti-social behaviour and early intervention policy and strategy and work with other services to develop a corporate approach to enforcement - To lead the Street Scene Enforcement Team to protect our communities and the environment through environmental monitoring, surveillance, early intervention and enforcement in environmental crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB) - To establish and maintain strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders, including external partners and various departments within the Council to improve our collective response to anti-social behaviour and enforcement - To provide oversight, guidance and direction for enforcement activities including creating a harm-centred approach to case management, reviewing and signing off the use of appropriate enforcement measures for ASB and Street Scene enforcement Antisocial Behaviour and Enforcement Manager - You: - Extensive experience of managing anti-social behaviour at a strategic level including prevention, early intervention and enforcement - Extensive experience of leading enforcement activity at a strategic and tactical level including a using a range of enforcement and prosecution tools - Strong understanding of all relevant legislation in relation to environmental and ASB enforcement - Experience in public sector leadership and working across complex public and voluntary sector partnerships - High level of political awareness and diplomacy, with an ability to operate sensitively in a political environment - Experience of writing, developing and implementing policies and strategies Antisocial Behaviour and Enforcement Manager - Benefits: Braintree District Council is a great place to work.
