This role is ideal for individuals with experience in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them navigate their learning journey and develop essential life skills. As an Autism Support Worker (ASC Support Worker), you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students, fostering a structured and inclusive learning environment where they can thrive. What you’ll do as an Autism Support Worker: Support students with Autism in both one-to-one and small group settings. Assist in implementing individualised learning and behaviour management strategies. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to provide holistic support. Encourage social interaction and communication skills development. Help create a calm, safe, and structured learning environment. Support students with sensory and emotional regulation. Autism Support Worker Qualification: Experience working with children or young people with Autism as an Autism Support Worker is highly desirable. Understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related challenges. A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
