Key Account Manager – Middle/Central UK (Up to South Yorkshire, Eastern Half Including Bedford, Northampton, East Midlands, Milton Keynes, Leicester etc)

Role Overview:
We are looking for a driven and dynamic territory sales manager to build and maintain strong customer relationships while driving sales within the middle/central region of the UK up to South Yorkshire, covering the eastern half of the UK, including areas such as Bedford, Northampton, East Midlands, Milton Keynes, and Leicester. This role involves working closely with surgeons and other key stakeholders in operating rooms and healthcare facilities, providing support, product demonstrations, and tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), chief surgeons, and surgical teams within the assigned territory.
* Provide in-theater support, assisting surgeons with Tachosil and other surgical technologies to optimize usage and patient outcomes.
* Present and demonstrate products within operating rooms and hospital departments, fostering trust with OR stakeholders.
* Identify new business opportunities and tailor solutions based on customer requirements.
* Manage and expand sales within the existing customer base while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, therapeutic areas, and competitor offerings.
* Work closely with pharmacists, procurement managers, and hospital administration to ensure product availability across NHS Trusts and private clinics.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and industry standards, maintaining an in-depth understanding of NHS and private sector sales processes.
* Conduct regular territory analysis to assess customer needs, competitive landscape, and market trends.
* Provide accurate sales reports, including pipeline updates and customer activity insights.
* Align sales efforts with company strategy and key account management plans at the local level.
* Keep CRM systems updated with contact details and sales activities while ensuring GDPR compliance.
* Travel within the territory (50%-80%) and stay overnight when required.
* Deliver tailored training sessions to customers based on their specific needs.
What You Need:
* Degree-level qualification in life sciences (preferred).
* 3-5 years of experience selling into operating theatres and clinics.
* Strong OR experience and an existing network of KOLs in general surgery, neurosurgery, HPB, cardiothoracic, and urological surgery.
* Strong understanding of NHS and private sector sales cycles.
* Prior experience in haemostasis and/or biosurgery is highly desirable.
* Surgical sales experience—candidates with experience selling large equipment will not be considered.
* Neuro experience is a big plus.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills to develop a strategic commercial approach.
* Excellent people skills to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
* A team player with a sense of urgency and accountability.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
