Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed Band 7 Ward Manager to join DOSA, our Day Surgery Unit at Ysbyty Gwynedd. DOSA is a 30 trolley Day Surgery Unit, focusing primarily on safe and effective discharge of day case elective surgery. We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated individual who can work with our General Surgical teams to provide high quality patient care. The role of the Ward Manager is pivotal in providing leadership and support to our nurses, while ensuring the department is managed smoothly on each shift. The quality and standard of care for patients is at the centre of this role. Main duties of the job All applicants are expected to keep abreast with new initiatives and interventions within nursing care. A Ward Manager is expected to drive mandatory training and other courses which are relevant to the ward. Staff will receive induction and support through staff meeting and personal development reviews. In general, this is an exciting and fascinating ward opportunity for professional development and expertise in the field.
