Occupational Health Nurse
Location: Wolverhampton / West Bromich

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide occupational health cover to agency staff.
2. Actively support the Company health campaigns within the engagement plan to improve staff turnover.
3. Conduct home visits to support long-term sick returns to work, reducing absence.
4. Advise the site on any changes in law/legislation, minimizing legal risks to the company.
5. Conduct food handler assessments.
6. Advise on preventative healthcare.
7. Undertake confined space health assessments, forklift drivers' health assessments, and night shift workers' assessments.
8. Manage referrals and provide advice regarding capability and rehabilitation.
Key Skills:
Essential:
Qualification:
1. Degree in Occupational Health.
Experience / Knowledge:
1. Forklift Truck medicals.
2. DSE assessment (the assessment can be done by anyone trained in DSE assessment, but Occupational Health needs to be involved if any problems are found).
3. Night Worker Medicals.
4. New and Expectant Mothers Risk Assessment (manager and OH).
5. Skin surveillance.
6. Engineers' medicals (new starters test for colour blindness).
7. LGV medicals (this is done by the drivers' GP and certificates kept with managers).
8. Vibration White Finger.
9. Lead, Asbestos, Radiation.
Desirable:
1. Drugs and Alcohol Support.
2. Health Education.
