Our Level 4 Advanced Apprenticeships
Our apprenticeships allow you to study for industry-recognised qualifications whilst earning a competitive salary. As an apprentice, you will study with a training provider, such as a college, and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace. Your study pattern could be day or block release, or via distance learning, depending on the course that you enrol on. A dedicated mentor will guide you through your personal and professional development. Level 4 Advanced Apprenticeships have a typical duration of two to three years, during which you will attain both a professional and academic qualification to further your career. Our apprentices are employed on a permanent basis, so you'll continue to progress with Arup once you've completed your course.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will continue to perform as a Rail Engineering Technician working on essential engineering and construction projects and will implement the management of information by overseeing documentation, data, and models that describe a built asset, such as plans and 3D models. During the Information Manager apprenticeship, you will engage with everyone involved in the project, from clients to engineers, ensuring that all information and data are maintained accurately until the project's completion. This position is vital as it fosters collaboration among team members, supports the creation of well-informed designs, and prevents duplication and errors.
Your apprenticeship will teach you the skills of procedural gatekeeping, ensuring compliance with industry information strategies and standards, including ISO 19650, and developing a common data environment to keep data accurate, up-to-date, and secure. Completion of the apprenticeship standard will be confirmed following the satisfactory conclusion of an End Point Assessment which is reviewed and awarded by a professional body.
Minimum Requirements
Level 4 apprenticeship candidates will be expected to have achieved a Level 3 in Civil Engineering or equivalent, as well as GCSE Maths & English at 4/5 or above (Grade C).
