Our client, a well-established veterinary care provider, is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, community-focused clinic that serves as a training hub for veterinary nurses and provides exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop their skills in an environment committed to high-quality care and professional growth.
The successful candidate will join a team of experienced professionals, including four vets, to deliver high-quality care to patients and clients. They will work closely with a skilled team, including an experienced Branch Partner, and contribute to various projects, including training and development programmes. This role offers a unique opportunity for learning and professional development, with support for continuing professional development and further certification.
Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
* Provide outstanding client care, ensuring clear communication and updates on patient status.
* Maintain the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
* Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient, including clear cost estimates.
* Engage, mentor, and develop team members, enhancing their skills and promoting effective teamwork.
* Complete clinical handovers and arrange the transfer of any patient needing out-of-hours or specialised care.
* Proactively support and share clinical best practices within and across practices.
Requirements
* Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
* Proven experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Strong clinical leadership skills.
* Experience in fostering a progressive clinical culture.
* Experience in supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, understanding their impact on clinic performance.
* Effective coaching and influencing skills to optimise team performance.
