Responsibilities
Rehabilitation Assistant
Band 3 - £24,071 - £25,674
Hours - 25 hours
Location - Eddercliffe Health Centre/Mill Hill Community Health Centre
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a rehabilitation assistant to join our team within Locala Community Stroke Service, providing comprehensive rehabilitation to people after stroke in the community after discharge from hospital or after new diagnosis of acute stroke.
We have teams working from Mill Hill Community Health Centre in Huddersfield and Eddercliffe Health Centre in North Kirklees, providing high-quality care to patients in their own homes, community rehabilitation facilities, and care homes.
This role requires a motivated and dynamic person to work within this established service and it is essential that you have experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team as you will be working with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Stroke Rehabilitation Nurse, Assistant Practitioners, and other Rehabilitation Assistants to provide rehabilitation programmes and support for patients and their families.
Good communication skills and flexibility are essential qualities and a commitment to working with patients to improve their quality of life. Experience of working in a health or social care setting is required as well as an awareness of the role of rehabilitation.
