Overview
We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to work alongside a committed team and to be instrumental in the continued development of our wonderful nursery.
Suitable candidates should be qualified to at least Level 3. They should be flexible in their working practice to ensure our children continue to experience an exciting and diverse learning curriculum.

Buckingham Primary School Nursery, set in the heart of Buckingham, cares for children from the age of 6 months and is a busy and lively place to work. Attached to Buckingham Primary School, our children benefit from access to a wide range of facilities and wonderful grounds. Our provision is supplemented by our own natural area.
About the role
The role is to provide support to the Nursery Leader for the development of all pupils in the nursery setting; to take a lead role in the monitoring and evaluation of the development of the children in your room. To be a leading professional actively promoting effective teaching and learning practices across the nursery.
To lead the day-to-day running of the nursery room, ensuring they are preparing for the transition to the next stage in their development.
To provide a child-centered environment where children are cared for in a safe, caring and stimulating way that ensures their individual needs are met within a group setting.
To take responsibility for quality assurance and compliance with all applicable legislation, including health and safety, within the nursery environment.
To lead the provision across the room and modelling outstanding practice to others
To lead on the development of all staff in nursery alongside the Nursery Leader.
The post will require you to work in partnership with the Head teacher, Nursery Leader, Governors and staff to ensure the continuous improvement of the school and nursery.
To ensure that the learning environment is stimulating and resources are available for the children.
To take responsibility for the nursery over holiday club periods, being the main point of contact for parents and carers.
To interact and lead colleagues in a professional manner to promote a mutual understanding of the schools vision and values.

• Have experience of caring for children, showing due regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs.
• Work well as part of a team
• Be a confident communicator
• Hold skills to manage children’s behavior
• Be confident in the Early Years framework and be able to do weekly planning for the designated room.
