Job Summary: To provide workflow coding and administration support to Local Primary Care Federation clinical workflow hub The post holder will work under the direction of the clinical workflow lead and is required to contribute to the day-to-day delivery of workflow administration function. The post holder will provide support to GP practices to undertake processing of all patient correspondence The post holder will play a key role by ensuring that necessary coding and administrative work is completed in a timely manner Main Duties/Key Tasks and responsibilities: Accurately read all patient related communications, ensuring they relate to the correct registered patient. Those not related to a registered patient are returned to the originator in a timely and appropriate manner. Identify and record relevant clinical information available in-patient correspondence including enhanced service related data. Completing agreed and required actions from clinical correspondence. Forward workflow tasks through to appropriate clinicians/practice team for action where necessary according to clinical workflow standard operating procedures. Action tasks and notifications in a timely manner. Take part in data collection and audits to help understand data Work as part of the workflow team to ensure work is kept up to date. Raise any backlogs or issues with the management team in a timely manner. Support other members of the workflow team when necessary Work in a flexible way to help meet the needs of the organisation. General use of the intranet, email, word applications excel spreadsheets. Attend relevant meetings as directed Manage own workload effectively To work in accordance of written protocols Administrative support to the LPC team. Ensure processes are followed and maintained at all times Information Management and Technology IT Literate with proven skills and understanding of Microsoft Office applications Ability to develop and sustain a working knowledge of EMIS, GP Clinical system Analysing data presented in Excel spreadsheets To ensure appropriate use of all physical assets for which they are responsible including computer equipment Governance and Risk Ensure the confidentiality and security of all information that is dealt with in the course of performing duties Ensure that all LPC systems for Information Governance, GDPR, and confidentiality is maintained at all times Quality The post-holder will strive to maintain quality within the federation, and will: Alert other team members to issues of quality and risk Assess own performance and take accountability for own actions, either directly or under supervision Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities and making suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the teams performance Work effectively with individuals in other agencies to meet patients needs Effectively manage own time, workload and resources Safeguarding: The federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
