Role: Helpdesk Engineer Sector: Banking Location: Central London Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Helpdesk Engineer to join a rapidly growing team within the Finance and Banking sector, based in central London. This role involves providing company-wide BAU support and contributing to some of the organisation's most exciting projects currently underway. Support new user onboarding, including setup across all systems. Ensure all computers are kept up to date with the latest Microsoft security patches and antivirus definitions. Provide support for Windows platforms, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration. Create and maintain computer images for Windows 10 devices and laptops. Manage the telephony system. Set up and configure company mobiles using MDM solutions. Assist with video conferencing requirements. Liaise with vendors to resolve service and application issues. Coordinate with IT suppliers for the procurement of IT equipment. Oversee IT inventory and asset management. Maintain the bank's intranet and external website. Provide desktop support for hardware, software, and applications, including travel to branches when required. Collaborate with Head Office to troubleshoot and resolve issues with systems hosted in other branches. Adhere to change control procedures. Update and monitor all Manage Engine services, including Helpdesk, MDM, and AD Manager. Monitor and address issues with the DSX server and Policy Hub. Support office relocations and facilitate branch visits as needed. Provide support for all bank-related Windows-based services and applications. Contribute to IT projects, including the annual disaster recovery test. Perform first-level network administration tasks, such as patching PCs and printers, managing Wi-Fi, and basic troubleshooting. Qualifications & Experience: A degree in a computer-related field or equivalent industry experience. Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role. Experience with Office 365 and Exchange is essential. Microsoft certifications are advantageous. Desirable Skills: Experience in financial services or banking. Familiarity with managing Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure. Knowledge or experience in IT security. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
