You'll be working as part of the central Business Support Service with more than 400 colleagues, and you'll be supporting our departments to ensure they are able to deliver critical services to the residents of Hertfordshire. About the role We have vacancies in the following teams Senior Business Support Officer - Legal Services 1 x 37 hours Farnham House, Stevenage This post provides business and administrative support to the Legal teams comprising of Commercial, Property, Adult Education & Health (AEH), Child Litigation (CLU). Dispute resolution, and Environment. Provide specialist professional support to Fee Earners and Managers dealing with confidential and sensitive matters, answer telephone calls and provide information as a first point of contact. Undertake a range of administrative duties such as minute taking, filing, scanning, photocopying, correspondence, making bundles to be sent to the courts, preparing engrossments and binding contracts. Legal Services are accredited and adhere to external standards and regulations outside of HCC within the Law Society, Solicitors Regulation Authority and Lexcel. Along with HCC policies and guidelines we adhere to strict deadlines, attention to details is paramount to avoid data breaches being made. Contact for enquiries: sarah.rutherfordhertfordshire.gov.uk Senior Business Support Officer Public Health 1 x 37 hours Farnham House, Stevenage The role will specifically include maintaining the structure charts for the Public Health team (using Microsoft Visio), updating Resilience Direct on behalf of the Public Health team, managing the Whole Team Meeting, processing and reconciling HCC credit card transactions and conference/event booking requests, dealing with Smart Survey task requests, undertaking stand-alone pieces of work at the correct level, intranet editing and updating Page One Connect and access to the staff area of the Public Health intranet as new starters/leavers are received. In addition, there will be Strategic and Board level meeting support, processing financial task requests as well as dealing with general task requests Contact for enquires: Genevieve.Sarfo-Adu2hertfordshire.gov.uk About you Essential : Experience of working in a previous administrative or support role Organisational and multitasking skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with a range of audiences Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software Experience in working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of specialised processes and methods gained through relevant training and experience. Ability to plan own work over short timescales for routine or familiar tasks and processes and use your initiative to work independently. GCSE or Vocational equivalent, strong numeracy and literacy skills Enthusiasm and pride in your work are qualities we welcome. You will be used to working to tight deadlines and with high accuracy in written correspondence.
