Package and Brief Role Overview:
* Hybrid Role - 2 Days are spent working in the office
* £12.69 Per Hour
* 37 Hours Per Week
* Contract length is 24 Weeks
* Reports to - HR Assistant Team Leader
Knowledge and Experience:
* Experience of applying HR policies and processes in a shared service centre environment
* Ability to collect and synthesize relevant data to analyse problems and evaluate
* Ability to analyse and interpret data to identify and highlight key trends, as well as integrate external sources of data to ensure a broad level of analysis
* Understands what databases are used at the Council and how data is gathered, organised, and extracted
* Good communication skills
Responsibilities:
* Inform and advise managers and employees about HR Policy & Procedure and implement guidelines in relation to the Policy & Procedure
* Understand the correct HR contact to direct the work to
* Establish effective relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues in the Council
* Provide accurate and appropriate advice to line managers to train and support them to follow processes effectively and with minimal risk
* Implement guidelines on HR Policy & Procedure (as well as processes and principles), to keep employees and line managers aware of the latest practice and their responsibilities
* Ability to learn appropriate UK employment and discrimination law and apply this in their role to ensure employees' rights are protected
* Ability to evaluate data and establish key insights, identify and highlight key trends/changes to trends in financial, people and/or performance indicators (when approaching HR casework)
* Solving and understanding common issues based on existing knowledge, suggesting improvements to current ways of working
* Ability to communicate appropriately
* Contribute to team meetings and support group decisions
* Advocate for diversity of perspective in the work they produce and is aware of the impact of their area and delivery of their role on the EDI agenda
* Experience of working in an HR department in a customer-focused organisation, proactively facilitating and leading change
* Attendance at Council premises on a dedicated day each week is essential
