Associate/ Associate Director Structural Engineer – Regional Lead Vertical Recruitment is partnering with a well-established, leading multi-disciplinary independent private practice, founded in 1978, to recruit an Associate Structural to act as the Regional Manager for their dynamic Manchester team. This role is ideal for an ambitious Structural Engineer seeking an opportunity to take on a leadership position. As the Regional Lead, you will play a key role in managing and developing the structural engineering team, ensuring high standards of project delivery and client service. You will lead on structural design and consultancy services across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, while also contributing to business growth, team training, and strategic development. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the structural engineering team, ensuring a high standard of technical excellence and collaboration. Oversee project delivery, from feasibility studies to detailed structural designs and site investigations. Manage client relationships, working closely with contractors, architects, and stakeholders to deliver projects effectively. Ensure all projects comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including CDM2015, party wall matters, and listed buildings. Drive business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities and contributing to marketing strategies. Provide mentorship and professional development for engineers, including supporting ICE/IStructE candidates. Undertake technical reviews and provide guidance on complex structural challenges. Conduct Structural Surveys and detailed written reports for a wide range of building types. Key Requirements: MICE / MIStructE / FICE Qualified Experience and extensive working knowledge of consulting engineering, surveying, architectural & planning practices and procedures supported by an awareness of the latest statutory requirements, technical publications and guidelines.
