We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power Management Systems (PMS) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting power management systems (PMS), including PLC, HMI, SCADA, PME, and associated networks, in various field locations in UK & Europe. This role requires travel within the UK & Europe, strong technical expertise, and excellent customer service skills. Training and shadowing of experienced PMS engineers will be provided where required to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in your role. Additionally, the candidate must be available for PMS emergency call-out cover as needed. What a typical day looks like: Maintenance and Servicing: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on power management systems, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, PME, and networks. Diagnose and repair faults, ensuring minimal downtime for clients. Educate clients on system operation and maintenance, specifically focusing on PLC, HMI, SCADA, PME, and network systems. Develop and deliver training sessions for client staff on PMS systems. Maintain strong client relationships through excellent customer service. Document all service activities, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting reports for PLC, HMI, SCADA, PME, and network systems. Prepare and submit detailed service reports and feedback to the CPS & PMS team. Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide on-site technical support to clients, addressing any issues with PMS, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, PME, and network systems. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems in a timely manner. Liaise with internal & external technical support teams and manufacturers for complex issues. Installation and Commissioning: Assist the Install and commission of power management systems, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, PME, and network components, at client sites. Conduct system testing and ensure proper functionality according to specifications. Emergency Call-Out Cover: Be available for emergency call-outs to address urgent issues and minimize system downtime during working hours. Respond promptly to emergency service requests, providing effective solutions under pressure. Join the PMS on call rota covering PMS on call 24/7 for circa 1 week in 8 Compliance and Safety: Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Adhere to company policies and procedures during field operations. Bachelor's degree/HNC/ONC or related qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in servicing and maintaining power management systems, including PLC, SCADA, PME, and networks. Proven track record in a field-based engineering role. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of power management systems, including hardware and software components. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting PLC, SCADA, PME, and network systems. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to power management. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Other Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively to various field locations. Availability for emergency call-out cover. Valid driver's license and ability to operate field service vehicles.
