Manufacturing Engineer required for a major electronics manufacturing services company, based in Andover, Hampshire.
The successful manufacturing engineer will coordinate and carry-out engineering activities to ensure the requirements for a product line.
Manufacturing Engineer Position Overview
1. Assist senior engineers and management in the execution of tasks for engineering projects.
2. Continuous improvement - develop processes and ensure best possible quality and reduce waste.
3. Ensure equipment and process standard operating procedures are documented and reviewed for accuracy and compliance.
4. Assist production teams in identifying training needs for new and current operators.
5. Review new and/or up issued customer documentation to ensure documents and process are compliant to customer requirements.
6. Assist quality engineers to investigate instances of poor quality, then compile evidence and data for 8D reports.
7. Support senior engineers and management with the introduction of new products and processes.
8. Ensure key equipment remains operational by working with the maintenance team.
9. Assist senior engineers and management in identifying and documenting business management systems.
Manufacturing Engineer Position Requirements
1. A degree qualification; BEng/MEng in an engineering or scientific discipline such as electronics, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering is preferred.
2. A minimum of 2 years working in a relevant manufacturing environment.
3. Microelectronics experience is desirable.
4. Based within a commutable distance of Andover, Hampshire.
5. A full UK driving licence would be preferred.
Manufacturing Engineer Position Remuneration
1. Salary - competitive and dependent upon experience, skill and qualifications.
2. Full time position - Monday to Friday.
3. Working hours - Monday to Thursday - 08:30am to 17:00pm and Friday 08:30am to 15:30pm.
4. Holiday package - 25 days + bank holidays.
