Job Title: Property and PFI Manager
Location: Lister Hospital, Coreys Mill Lane, Stevenage, SG1 4AB (Hybrid)
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday 08:00-16:00
Pay: Band 8a, £28.87/hr
Trust Location: East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust
This is a temporary role for approximately 3 months.
About the Role:
The Property and PFI Manager reports to the Strategic Programme Manager and shall be accountable for delivering an agreed annual programme of work in relation to the Trusts’ property functions as well as supporting the Strategy & Commercial team in delivering the Estate Strategy.
The post holder will be required to provide professional leadership to the Strategic Programme Manager ensuring that leases, licenses, PFI operation, strategic management and the overarching property database is accurate and accessible.

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust provide services to the local community to around 500,000 people, with the regional cancer centre supporting around 2 million people. They provide care to the community with an annual budget of around £350 million and more than 5,000 staff.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting the Strategic Programme Manager by providing expert advice on property management, compliance, and maintenance.
- Representing the Commercial team in internal and external meetings, ensuring key property-related discussions progress smoothly.
- Supporting lease, license, and contract management tasks, ensuring records are accurate and aligned with the Trust’s estates system.
- Providing professional leadership in property management, ensuring strategic goals are met within the contract period.

Experience:
- Extensive experience in property and estate management within a large, complex organisation, preferably in the public sector or NHS.
- Degree-qualified in relevant subject.
- Ideally a member of a recognised professional institute (e.g. RICS, CIOB, BIFM).
- Full clean UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
