Description Role: Team Leader Administration Salary: £25,000 per annum (pro-rata) Location: Cromford, Derby Contract/Hours: Permanent, Part-time. 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Action for Children Therapeutic Services provides a range of services within Derbyshire and the East Midlands. Within this, Action for Children are commissioned by Derbyshire County Council, Derby City Council and Derby/Derbyshire ICB to deliver a therapeutic service, The DECC, which aims to improve the emotional wellbeing and resilience of children in care. This is a busy service offering a range of interventions, appointments, and training events across Derbyshire and from our bases in Cromford and Derby City. The service generally operates from 9 to 5pm with delivery predominantly taking place within Derby and Derbyshire at present, with scope for this to broaden across the midlands and beyond. The service has its primary based in central Derbyshire, in Cromford, with a satellite based in Derby City. There are two delivery teams consisting of Lead Therapeutic Practitioners and led by a Therapeutic Practice Manager; a Clinical Team consisting of psychologists providing clinical oversight and supervision within the teams; and an administrative team providing business support for the service. The services are led by a Children’s Services Manager and Clinical Lead. Senior Business Support Officer (Team Leader Administrator) This role is an integral part of the how the service operates, overseeing day to day administration, supporting the managers with finance arrangements, ensuring the input and reporting of performance data and leading a small team of administrators. You will work very closely with the Children’s Service Manager and Practice Managers, as well as other SBSOs within the region. Your drive to improve the lives and childhoods of children will ensure the smooth running of administrative tasks that support the service delivery. This will help therapeutic practitioners, clinicians and managers focus on providing high quality help and support to children who most need it. How you will help to create brighter futures Prepare accurate budgets and forecasting. Managing a team of frontline Business Support officers. Supporting Business Support Officers and managers with Health & Safety issues in relation to the services. Using data collection systems to monitor and interpret budgets and statistical data. Responding proactively to issues that arise to enable the achievement of service objectives. Showing resilience and flexibility to work within fast paced and adaptable services. Let's talk about you: Business Administration or Management S/NVQ Level 3, equivalent qualification, or demonstratable experience. Previous supervisory or line management experience. Excellent knowledge of finance is essential as you will be managing budgets within this role. Ability to forecast funding figures and work creatively. Good IT skills, including Advanced Excel – pivot tables and formulas. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have knowledge of databases and be skilful in analysing data.
