The primary duties of the Engineering Supervisor will be to support the Estates Manager and Senior Engineer in managing the engineering/building craftsman and contractors on a day-to-day basis. The supervisor's role will be to ensure that the optimum use of manpower is utilized at all times. The position will require a person that will maintain discipline within the organization and demonstrate leadership amongst fellow engineering and building colleagues.
The Engineering Supervisor must illustrate the ability to plan and prioritize all aspects of engineering and building duties, without compromising the smooth running of the service. Other duties will involve the ordering of materials and equipment and assisting engineers with technical matters when required. The position will involve participating in the out-of-hours on-call system.
The working hours are normally 06:00 - 18:30 on a rolling rota of four days on, four days off; this will include all Public & Bank holidays. You will also participate in the estates manager's on-call rota once every 3 weeks, and your on-call days will not fall on your rest days.
