We are looking for someone to join our team to carry out the cleaning service for our wards at Hartington unit (soon to be Derwent Unit).
The required working hours for this vacancy are for 15 hours per week, working 9.30-12.30 5 days a week with alternate weekends.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to:
Provide a high class cleaning service to create a clean, safe environment for all patients, visitors, and staff.
Duties
1. Damp mopping and buffing of all floor surfaces, including using machinery. Periodic maintenance as included in the cleaning schedules.
2. Vacuum cleaning of all carpet areas, including use of machinery.
3. Damp dusting all radiators, pipes and ledges.
4. Cleaning of all furniture and fittings by the appropriate method.
5. High dusting.
6. Cleaning of partition glass and inside of windows where necessary.
7. Cleaning of all sanitary fitments.
8. Cleaning wall tiles.
9. Emptying of refuse bins and removing to place of disposal. Cleaning of all refuse holders.
10. Cleaning of lockers, beds and mattress when vacated by the patient.
Domestic Duties - Duties will vary to suit area
1. Prepare the dining room ready for meals.
2. Ensure all meal and break pots are washed with the aid of the dishwasher and that the kitchen is left clean and tidy.
3. To work as a member of the 'house' team including attending team meetings as appropriate.
4. In the allotted time, any other non-patient duty as required by the Unit manager.
5. To complete all relevant paperwork as requested by management.

Person Specification
Knowledge and skills
* Working Knowledge of Health and Safety.
* Cleaning experience.
