Administrative Assistant - Probation Service
Location: Leeds
Pay: £12.21 per hour (paid weekly)
Hours: 20 hours per week, with some occasional out-of-hours work (as per business need)

About the Client:
The Probation Service is a statutory criminal justice service that supervises high-risk offenders released into the community.
About the role:
We're looking for someone organised and reliable to join the Probation Service as an Administrative Assistant. In this role, you'll help keep things running smoothly by assisting staff and people on probation with day-to-day admin tasks. This includes handling paperwork, updating records, answering calls, and making appointments. You'll be part of a team that works to aid people in the community and help reduce re-offending.
What you'll do:
* Keep accurate records on our systems
* Help set up meetings and appointments
* Deal with telephone calls, emails and post
* Help visitors at reception and on the telephone
* Organise equipment and materials needed by the team
* Maintain records for petty cash, travel costs and vouchers
* Complete general office tasks and meeting notes
* Work with people on probation, including those who may be upset or angry
* Follow clear procedures when it comes to safeguarding and safety
* Occasionally work at other local offices if needed
What we're looking for:
* Good basic IT and typing skills (Word, and basic Excel)
* Clear and confident communication
* A calm and fair approach when dealing with people
* Able to work on your own as well as part of a team
* Organised, with good attention to detail
