MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their team with a permanent Power BI Developer. The position can be based in any of our offices around the country and it is expected a large portion of the work to be completed from home. MWH Treatment Ltd are one of the most important UK contractors, delivering largest and most varied water infrastructure improvement programmes in the UK. We are looking to a recruit on a permanent base, an enthusiastic and highly experienced Power BI/SQL developer into the business, to accelerate the project specific reporting process in place as well as to develop new and evolve the existing reporting system. On top of your expert PowerBI skills, this role requires you to be comfortable developing in SQL server, to generate the data structure to enable resilient models in Power BI, and in turn to build reports to be consumed across the framework. You’re a great communicator, able to gather requirements and translate that in to first class insights. About You Essential Solid Power BI Development experience (Power Query, DAX and Data Modelling) Able to design the architecture of the reporting system by understanding the inputs and report outputs Understanding visualisation best Practices and report design principles Experience with SQL Server, preferably familiar with Azure SQL environments. Advanced Excel Skills High Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality. Strong Communication skills Desirable A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science, information technology, statistics, or a similar discipline Project Controls / Project Management reporting experience Proficiency with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or other ETL tools and an understanding of building resilient data pipelines in support of BI reporting. Familiarity with cost and scheduling software Degree level education in a data centric subject (eg Data Science).
